AUBH Celebrates International Day with Participation from Over 20 Countries

The American University of Bahrain hosted its International Day on campus, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, along with their Excellencies the ambassadors of several countries.

The event also welcomed over 2000 visitors.

This year’s festivities brought together representatives from over 20 countries across several continents, featuring dedicated pavilions for various nations. Several embassies took part in the event, supporting cultural showcases and performances that highlighted the distinct traditions and heritage of their nations. Guests experienced a blend of international flavors, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural attire, creating an immersive journey through the world’s diverse identities within the heart of the AUBH campus.

The one-day event provided a dynamic platform for intercultural exchange, fostering connections among people of different nationalities and enhancing students’ cultural awareness. The event encouraged positive engagement across cultures, reinforcing values of mutual respect and openness.

Dr. Wafa Almansoori, Interim President and Provost of the American University of Bahrain, said: “AUBH extends beyond the traditional role of an educational institution by serving as a vibrant hub for cultural dialogue and community connection. Initiatives like International Day are essential to expanding global awareness and encouraging genuine openness, enriching the perspectives of both students and the wider community. This reflects the American University of Bahrain’s mission to promote coexistence and mutual respect,” said Dr. Almansoori.
