Emirates Elevates Accessible Travel with New Hub, Sensory Products, and Enhanced Services
Emirates is taking a giant leap in accessible travel, unveiling a suite of services and innovations designed to empower passengers with disabilities. The announcement was made at the 7th edition of the AccessAbilities Expo at Dubai World Trade Centre, highlighting the airline’s commitment to inclusive travel experiences.
At the heart of these initiatives is the new Accessible & Inclusive Travel Hub on Emirates.com. This comprehensive digital platform provides global travellers with tailored information and tools to plan their journeys according to specific accessibility needs. Whether navigating mobility challenges, visual or hearing impairments, or hidden disabilities, passengers can now explore Emirates’ services with ease and confidence.
“The Accessible & Inclusive Travel Hub represents a year of careful research, inclusive design, and testing with real users,” said Emirates representatives. “From autism-friendly guides to detailed airport maps, our goal is to reduce travel anxiety and make the journey as seamless as possible.”
The hub allows passengers to navigate by disability type, journey stage—including departure, in-flight, connecting flights, and arrival—or by specific needs such as booking special assistance, accessing sensory guides, or applying for the Sanad tourist card in Dubai. Additional sections cover travelling with wheelchairs and mobility aids, medical travel, family travel, and support for unaccompanied minors. Built on a flexible, token-based system, the platform ensures updates and improvements can be rolled out swiftly as accessibility needs evolve.
In addition to digital support, Emirates is introducing a range of sensory products and fidget toys onboard, available in all cabin classes starting 1 November 2025. Designed for neurodivergent passengers, these tactile tools help manage overstimulation and provide comfort during the flight. Passengers can expect items such as aircraft-shaped stress relievers, fidget cubes, and branded rubber poppers, offered to children, adults, and even nervous flyers when needed.
Emirates’ initiatives reflect a holistic approach, combining on-ground enhancements, inflight support, and future-focused innovations to ensure every passenger can travel with confidence and dignity.
