Al Zaeem team wins International Endurance Race

In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, crowned jockey Asim Abdulwahid Janahi of Al Zaeem team as the winner of the 120km international race which took place as part of the second round of the 2022/2023 Endurace Season, organised by BREEF at Bahrain International Endurance Village.

On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that the strong competition in the races organised by BREEF confirms the extent of the expansion witnessed by the endurance sport and the perfect preparation of the stables to participate in the local competitions which are being developed year-in, yearout in an effort to enable the Kingdom continues having positive results abroad.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa explained that the 120km race witnessed excitement in all stages amid stiff competition among all the riders who followed detailed technical plans prepared by their technical teams, stating that the efforts of the participants to deal with the specified speed limits were clear.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said, “The beginning of the current season is more thrilling and saw further competitions for top places, and this confirms that the endurance sport of Bahrain is reaching higher levels.

We have promising riders who are ready to honour the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad and bring home the best results,” The winners of the top places were crowned by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

Asim Abdulwahid of Al Zaeem dominated the race and comfortably won it after clocking 4 hours, 27 minutes and 32 seconds, followed by his teammate Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi (04:51:20) and Nasser Hamad Al Qahtani of the KHK team (04:59:45) Victorious Wins 100km Race Meanwhile, the Victorious team’s Othman Al Awadhi triumphed in the 100km race which was organised as part of Participants in action round two.
