Manama stay unbeaten with win over Al Ettihad

Defending champions Manama stayed undefeated in the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League following a 90-79 victory over Al Ettihad last night in their postponed week five game, played at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
After trailing 40-45 at the half, Manama took control of the proceedings with a 24-13 third quarter to go ahead 64-58 heading into the final period.
There, they went ahead by as many as their game-ending winning margin of 11 markers to secure their fifth win in as many games, while handing Ettihad only their second loss in five outings.
Mohammed Ameer had a game-high 32 points for the winners while also grabbing nine rebounds.
Ahmed Salman added 25 points including six three-pointers, while Ahmed Aldurazi scored 15.
Skipper Hasan Nowrooz had just four points but also dished out 10 assists.
For Ettihad, American Adrian Uter was their leading scorer with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Ali Ghadeer and Ahmed Ghanim added 15 apiece, while Mohammed Ghazwan had 14 in the loss.
