Berbatov to play for Greek club PAOK
Thessaloniki, Greece
Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov has signed to play for one season with PAOK, the Greek Super League club announced yesterday.
Berbatov, 34, will travel to Thessaloniki on Thursday to undergo medical examinations and sign his contract, PAOK said.
No details of the contract were revealed by the team, but Greek media reported that the former Manchester United star will be receiving up to 2 million euros for his one-year with the club.
His new club PAOK are yet to win in the Super League this term and are 12th in the table.
Berbatov was set to sign with Premier League side Aston Villa, but the deal fell through this week.
He played last season with AS Monaco in 38 matches scoring 13 goals and the two previous seasons played for Fulham in 51 matches scoring 19 goals.
