Qatar to host T100 Triathlon World Championship Final again in Lusail City
Visit Qatar has announced that the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final will return to Lusail City from December 10 to 12, 2026, marking the second consecutive year the country hosts the global endurance event.
Organised in partnership with the Professional Triathletes Organisation, the championship is expected to attract elite athletes, amateur competitors and sports fans from across the GCC and beyond.
Following its successful debut edition in 2025, organisers expect higher regional participation in 2026 as athletes from across the Gulf prepare to compete in one of the world’s premier triathlon events closer to home.
The championship programme will include the Open T100 race, Sprint Triathlon, T100 Age Group World Championships, along with 1km and 5km community runs designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Competitors will take on the T100 race format, which features a 2km swim, 80km cycling course and an 18km run through Lusail City’s waterfront and urban landscape.
In addition to the sporting events, organisers said Lusail City will host an interactive fan village featuring live entertainment, family-friendly attractions and community activities throughout the championship weekend.
As the final event on the global T100 Triathlon World Tour calendar, the championship continues to strengthen Qatar’s position as a regional and international destination for endurance sports and active lifestyle tourism.
Organisers highlighted Qatar’s advanced sporting infrastructure, hospitality offerings and accessibility for GCC travellers as key factors supporting the event’s continued growth.
Registration details and participation information are available through the official T100 Qatar event platform.
