Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, hosts today the fifth round of the 2025/2026 Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC), the Kingdom’s premier karting championship.

The very best of local talent will be going wheel-to-wheel in their very own Rotax-powered karts at BIC’s world-class grassroots motorsport facility, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).

Competitors will be battling it out along BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre CIK-FIA track across five high-octane categories, including Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, and DD2 MAX.

Action on Friday is scheduled to begin at 10.50am with free practices. They are to be followed by qualifying practice from 11.55am, while the pre-finals will be held from 1.10pm. That will then set the stage for the finals, flagging off from 2.42pm. The podium ceremonies will follow all the exciting action, slated for 5.12pm.

All are welcome to attend and cheer for the karters. Entrance to BIKC is free of charge.

A stacked field of some of Bahrain’s leading karting talents are set to line up on the grid at BIKC.

In the Micro MAX class, championship leader Enzo Younes leads the field, which also features Sami Ramiz Albandak, Rashid Almahroos, and Ahmed Almudahka.

Rayyan Najjar heads the Mini MAX field where he will be facing stiff competition from Faisal Alnajjar, Leo Saruhan, Saish Chinchrekar, Hasan Baqer, Rhys Daulat, and Ehan Anjam.

Points leader Leopold Juch spearheads the Junior MAX category, which includes Sacha Rollett, Luca Saruhan, Bader Faisal, Jude Andrews, Ryan Suckling, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqer Al Khalifa, who was last season’s Mini MAX champion.

The Senior MAX boasts the largest field for this round, with 17 competitors set to hit the track. They include championship leader Musaad Albassam and defending champion Tye Mejia. They will be going up against Filipa Dorres, Samy Landy, Ahmad Jawed, Karim Rizkallah, Griffin Mecklenburg, Farhan Bin Shafeel, Khaled Najjar, Mohammed Alhasan, Yousif Alaali, Demir Abali, Luca Houghton, Mohammed Hilal, Rashid Hilal, Noor Van Veldhoven, and Vedant Menon.

The DD2 MAX category will be spearheaded by points leader Rakan Alfayez and last season’s title winner Abdulla Sajjad, and they will be racing Mohammed Sajjad and Abdulqader Qasem.

The BRMC features a total of eight rounds in its 2025/2026 calendar. Following this weekend’s programme, which kicks off the second half of this exciting campaign, round six is set for 13 February. The seventh and penultimate meeting will then be held on 28 March, which will pave the way for the championship finale, scheduled for 18 April at BIKC.
