HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman chairs REHC High Committee Meeting

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), chaired the meeting of the REHC High Committee.
His Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s continued advancement in the field of equestrian sports, achieved through the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness emphasised the importance of implementing forward-looking development plans and programmes that enhance the quality and competitiveness of horse racing, further strengthening the Kingdom’s position across various sporting sectors.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman underscored the importance of collective efforts to advance Bahrain’s global standing in horse racing and its success in hosting prestigious equestrian events, as the Kingdom marks the inauguration of the 2025/2026 racing season.
His Highness extended his best wishes for success to all participants and REHC personnel in achieving the Kingdom’s development goals in the equestrian field.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the progress made in implementing the REHC’s master development plan, which includes the development of the main platform and the enhancement of infrastructure. These initiatives form part of the Club’s efforts to create a welcoming environment for participants and spectators alike, in line with the Kingdom’s ongoing development of the horse racing sector and to build upon the successes achieved in hosting local and international championships.
Regarding the Club’s organisation of the seventh edition of the Bahrain International Trophy (Gr 2), scheduled to be held on Friday, 14 November 2025, the Committee reviewed the ongoing preparations and organisational arrangements for this prestigious international event. The review came as part of efforts to enhance organisational performance by harnessing all available capabilities and resources to ensure the success of the event, build on the achievements of previous editions, and further reinforce Bahrain’s global standing in the equestrian arena.
The Committee also reviewed mechanisms to enhance investment opportunities that support financial sustainability, strengthen the REHC’s capacity to implement plans and projects, and advance developments related to administrative and organisational matters.
