Victorious Team, led by Shaikh Nasser, win AMH Charity Golf Tournament

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 26th Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament, organised by the American Mission Hospital at His Majesty’s Private Golf Course in Safriya Palace, has concluded. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, participated with the Victorious team on the third day of the tournament and with the Safriya team on the second day.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said that His Majesty the King’s patronage of the tournament reflects His Majesty’s great interest and continued support for Bahraini sport in general and golf in particular, which continues to progress steadily towards further development and prosperity.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised the organisational level of the tournament since its inception, noting that the wide participation embodies support for charitable and humanitarian initiatives that benefit society, commending the participants’ performance and the outstanding technical level witnessed throughout the tournament.

The tournament saw wide participation from teams and players representing various entities, amid strong competition and an advanced technical level, reflecting the growing development of golf in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Victorious team, consisting of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Mike Lorenzo, Mahdi Tadaoui and Soufiane Tadaoui, secured first place in the Championship Flight with a total of 46.2 points.

The Ministry of Interior team came second with 48.7 points, while Mohammed Jalal team (2) came third with 51.3 points. In the Premier Flight, the Safriya team, consisting of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Mohammed Mousallam, Soufiane Tadaoui and Mahdi Tadaoui, won first place with a total of 47.1 points. The Chuckers team came second with 47.4 points, while the VGA team came third with 49.3 points.
