Rashid Equestrian Club Approves 2025–2026 Racing Calendar

The Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club has approved the calendar for the upcoming 2025–2026 racing season, which will begin on Friday, October 31, 2025. The season promises a packed schedule of local and international races, supported by new development initiatives aimed at improving both technical and administrative standards.

The move comes in line with the directives of the Club’s Supreme Council, chaired by Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Court of the Prime Minister, to further strengthen Bahrain’s position as a leading destination in global horse racing.

Club CEO Yousef Osama Buhejji said the new season will build on past achievements and bring a major boost in the quality of races and events. He highlighted the His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival as the season’s flagship event. The race prize has been increased to USD 400,000 after its upgrade last season to Group 3 status, making it more attractive to top international stables. The festival will take place over two days, March 5–6, 2026, for the second consecutive year.

Other major highlights include:

  • Bahrain International Trophy (Group 2): Scheduled for its seventh edition on November 14, 2025, broadcast live to over 100 countries.

  • Bahrain International Series: Featuring 12 races across multiple stages (December 19, January 2, 16, and 29, February 19, with the final on March 5, 2026).

  • Crown Prince’s Cup Festival: Set for January 29–30, 2026.

  • Season Finale: Scheduled for April 17, 2026.

Buhejji also expressed gratitude to local and international partners and sponsors, whose continued support has played a vital role in the success and growth of the club’s racing events, while enhancing Bahrain’s reputation both regionally and globally.
