HH Shaikh Nasser Congratulates National Basketball Team on Historic Victory

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the national under-18 basketball team’s victory in the Arab Championship held in Egypt.

His Highness praised the outstanding efforts of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, which contributed to this remarkable achievement. He noted that it reflects the success of the Khalid bin Hamad League initiative for the “Golden Generation,” aimed at preparing a promising generation of athletes capable of representing the Kingdom at the highest level.

Shaikh Nasser highlighted that this proud Arab achievement demonstrates the determination, dedication, and high potential of Bahraini youth, qualifying them to stand on international podiums. He added that this generation of players will form a strong foundation for the future of Bahraini basketball, praising the team’s high spirit throughout the tournament that led to their championship victory.

His Highness extended his congratulations to the Bahrain Basketball Federation, the technical and administrative staff, and the players, wishing them continued success and excellence.
