LuLu Hypermarket will be holding a ‘Taste of India’ today at 5:45pm at their Hidd branch. The event will be inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Dr. Mohan Kumar. The programme will include: cultural presentations by the Indian community, ‘Magic Show’ by visiting magician David from Kolkota, India and a ‘Cookery Contest’ for aspiring chefs from Bahrain. Popular TV cooking show host, Dr. Lekshmi Nair, will grace the special occasion.
The Embassy of India is organising an ‘Open House’ at its premises tomorrow, from 9:00am to 11:00am. The event is an opportunity for the members of the Indian community to meet Ambassador Dr. Mohan Kumar and other embassy officials for non-routine consular and labour issues. Members of the Indian community are requested to bring along with them complete set of documents pertaining to their respective cases. Any Indian citizen with urgent problem may come to the embassy on any working day without waiting for the monthly ‘Open House.’
