Proud and happy
Manama : St Chris Junior School organized ‘What makes you feel proud’ assembly for this term. The assembly began with the song “Light my torch” by Laurie Lewin. The first presentation was by Aston (Year 3), who showed video clips of his dirt biking adventures in the desert. This was followed by Meher (Year 3), and Maya (Year 4), who sang to the audience beautifully. Zahra (Year 4), Sean and Bassam (Year 6), narrated their services to the community through distributing meals to migrant workers over the weekend. Olivia, Isabel and Verity (Year 5) were real ambassadors for the Brownies with a very informative presentation which had lots of the girls in the audience wanting to join the club.
Some students received ‘football awards’ for excelling at a recent competition, which was held in Dubai. These were awarded to: Nadine, Talia, and Jacob from Year 5 and Sam and Mohammed from Year 6.
Mohammed (Year 5) gave an excellent performance on the piano, and shared his recent experience at the Young Musicians of the Gulf competition, where he got as far as the semi-finals. A variety of artistic contributions came from Tabitha, Sophia, Lauren, Alishaa and Lulwa, Jude (Year 4), Sara, Yasmeen, Ferne, Areeba, Ayzah and Aanvi (Year 6).
