KIMS opens multispecialty centre in Askar

KIMS Bahrain Healthcare (KBH) has launched its fifth healthcare institution in Bahrain - KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre (KBMC) Askar. The KBMC Askar facility was inaugurated through a soft opening held at the Centre’s premises.

Present during the ceremony were Dr Sheriff Sahadulla, Group Chief Executive Officer, KIMS Healthcare Group, Ahmed Jawahery, Chairman, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre and President, Royal Bahrain Hospital, and Jacob Thomas, Executive Director – Operations & Projects (GCC), KIMS Healthcare Group.

Top officials from KIMS’ other units attended the event. Aptly located on Avenue 52 in Askar, the multispecialty centre aims at exclusively serving the population residing in and around Askar. KBMC Askar is equipped with GP clinics, in addition to facilities and services such as – Xray, lab and pharmacy.

The Centre will provide services of general medicine and urgent care. KIMS will also provide, on visiting basis, services of its specialist doctors such as - orthopaedics, general surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and others. Speaking on the occasion of KBMC Askar’s launch, Dr Sheriff Sahadulla, Chief Executive Officer of KIMS Healthcare Group said: “With the addition of KBMC Askar, we aim to cater to a large audience of people who are working and residing in the industrial area.”

Ahmed Jawahery, Chairman of KBMC and President of RBH, said: “KBMC Askar’s ideal location will allow companies and residents to access our medical services in their vicinity a lot easier.” Jacob Thomas, Executive Director – Operations & Projects (GCC), KIMS Healthcare Group, said: “Since 2004, KIMS has been spreading wellness through its institutions namely – Royal Bahrain Hospital in Salmaniya, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre in Umm Al Hassam and Muharraq and RBH Medical Centre in Riffa.
