Military Marathon, shooting winners honoured
Winners of the Military Marathon and Pistol & Rifle Shooting contest were honoured yesterday during a conclusion ceremony held at the National Guard’s firing range complex in Sakhir`Camp. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, the President of the National Guard presented the championship cups and medals to the first two winners in the presence of Director of Staff Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa.
The Special Operations Unit emerged victorious in the 42- km military marathon race. Finishing second was the Ninth Battalion. In the finales of Pistol/Rifle Shooting contest, Special Operations Unit bagged first place and Administrative Support Unit second spot. Earlier, General Shaikh Mohammed, accompanied with Staff Director, was greeted upon arrival by senior officers, unit commanders and departmental heads.
