Falieq Alzayani co. ties up with uber

The Faieq Alzayani  Company (FAZCO), one of Bahrain’s oldest and successful business groups, have entered into a strategic tie up with Uber, the smartphone technology company.  

With a series of value added services planned for launch, FAZCO aims to deliver more value to its customers through the various business subsidiaries that fall under it. Operating in more than 300 cities globally, Uber is the world’s first transportation company of its kind that let its customers book rides via the revolutionary Uber mobile application.

FAZCO’s first initiative will be to integrate Uber services through its outlet, Cico’s Italian Restaurant. Cico’s, one of the region’s first restaurants and an institution of local Italian cuisine, has always been a hub for Bahrain’s society and is the first restaurant in Bahrain to tie up with Uber.

Established in 1976 as a General Trading Company by Faieq Erahim Alzayani, a member of one of the leading business families in the region, Faieq Alzayani Co. W.L.L. (FAZCO) has since become one of the leading importers and distributors of luxury and consumer goods in Bahrain. The company has a large portfolio of diverse products including tobacco products and luxury accessories, food and beverage products and other unique items catering to HORECA, FMCG and Retail markets.

The company also owns and operates one of Bahrain’s oldest and longest running restaurants, Cico’s Italian Restaurant (Est. 1978). Throughout the years the family restaurant has become a magnet for Bahrain’s elite and has been able to remain a favourite Trattoria-style destination for all generations. In 2005, Cico’s was institutionalized by its crowning achievement as ‘Best Restaurant’ at the International Hotel and Restaurant Awards in Madrid. FAZCO has since been involved in 5 other restaurant ventures all of which are operating successfully today. In 2013, FAZCO launched it’s first chain of supermarkets, Souq Gourmet which it plans to develop throughout the region.
