KPMG in Bahrain has signed an agreement with Cork Information Technology W.L.L., a Bahraini company specializing in digital transformation. Under the agreement, KPMG will collaborate with Cork Information Technology to leverage their access to ‘LAW360’, an artificial intelligence-enabled platform designed to support accurate Arabic–English translation of Bahraini laws and legislation.

LAW360 is purpose-built for the translation of legal and regulatory material, with models trained to reflect local legislative and regulatory context to ensure that it preserves contextual integrity in its output. The platform is designed to go beyond literal translation to preserve intent, interpretation and terminology consistency across Arabic and English versions of Bahraini legal texts. LAW360 also incorporates privacy and data sovereignty considerations, with Cork Information Technology’s technical partner, INFINITEWARE, supporting the platform’s local deployment capabilities.

The platform is expected to support KPMG Bahrain’s internal risk management requirements, particularly where timely access to bilingual legal and regulatory text is critical to the firm’s operations and governance.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mr. Hussain Al Maskati, Director at Cork Information Technology W.L.L., said:

“LAW360 represents a significant advancement in how Bahraini legislation is accessed and interpreted. He explained that the platform goes beyond literal translation by leveraging artificial intelligence models trained on the local regulatory context, ensuring precise understanding of legislative texts and their intended legal meanings.”

Mr. Jamal Fakhro, Managing Partner at KPMG in Bahrain, added:

“This agreement reflects our ongoing focus on adopting digital capabilities that strengthen how we manage legal and regulatory information across the firm. Accurate bilingual interpretation of legislation is increasingly important in a complex operating environment, and we value solutions that are developed with Bahrain’s legal context and data considerations at the core. As one of the largest professional services firms operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain, we consider it a matter of national pride to support businesses that contribute towards the ‘Made in Bahrain’ tag; and we truly believe that this collaboration reinforces our commitment.”

Ameen Altajer, CEO of INFINITEWARE, added:

“As Bahrain’s first AI engineering company with more than fifteen years of experience in building production-grade artificial intelligence, we are proud to have engineered LAW360 end-to-end in the Kingdom. Our focus has always been on developing secure, offline and locally deployed AI systems for organizations that require true confidentiality, and we consider it a privilege to contribute to Bahrain’s growing leadership in sovereign, locally-built AI solutions.” The agreement aligns with Bahrain’s broader collective priorities around innovation, digital enablement and the development of a knowledge-based economy.
