He highlighted the importance of leveraging the momentum surrounding the race to promote Bahrain’s economy and the opportunities available across various sectors.
Kanoo affirmed that Malaysia’s hosting of the Bahrain Grand Prix also adds a new dimension to Bahrain–Malaysia relations, providing an opportunity to strengthen ties between the two business communities and explore further commercial and investment opportunities.
He commended the cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia, the Bahrain International Circuit and the Sepang International Circuit, as well as Formula 1 and the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), which has enabled the Bahrain Grand Prix to remain part of the 2026 season and be hosted at one of the world’s leading circuits.
Kanoo also praised the dedicated efforts of the Bahraini national teams involved in organising the race, highlighting the expertise and capabilities they have developed in managing major international sporting events.
