BCCI holds series of workshops

Under the patronage of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Chairman Khalid Al Moayed, the Enterprise Initiative Center of the Chamber and in collaboration with Taiwan Trade Mission will hold a series of workshops on information and communication technology (ICT) in Bait Al Tijjar.

Taking place on January 10-11, the two-day event, which will host ICT experts from Taiwan, will incorporate five workshops each day tackling various areas of ICT including ICT applications and solutions and the Taiwanese ICT experience.

In this regard CEO of the Chamber Nabeel Al Mahmood urged ICT entrepreneurs, business owners and university students to take part in this important programme and seize the opportunity to meet experts, mull business relations, and share experiences. With regard to the workshops, Al Mahmood said "the first day will incorporate 5 different workshops, with the first on Taiwan ICT Development Outlook, the second on e-Government Roadmap and applications, the third on Electronic Documents Exchange System, the fourth on SMEs and ICT Enabled Clusters, and the fifth on Smart Energy Technologies Systems & Applications followed by a wrap-up discussion".

He added that "the second day will follow the same pattern with 5 workshops and a wrap up discussion. The first workshop is titled Taiwan’s e-Commerce Development& Outlook, the second Intelligent Transportation System & Electronic Tag Applications, the third Interactive Teaching System, the fourth Health Information Systems & Mobile or Smart Healthcare Solutions, and the fifth Smart Tourism and its Application".
