Bahrain Bourse Participates in National Tree Week

In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch this year’s tree week, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, participated in national tree week by planting trees at Bahrain Financial Harbour, alongside senior officials. This initiative also supports the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035, in line with Bahrain’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa emphasized the importance of enhancing sustainability to support national goals aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by the year 2060. He highlighted the role of Bahrain Bourse and its efforts to contribute to sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain by promoting sustainable financial practices, in line with the recommendations of the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, the World Federation of Exchanges, and the Net Zero Financial Service Providers Alliance.
