Riot: Teen gets 5-year prison
A teenager was sentenced to five years in prison for attacking a police officer with firebombs.
The accused, who was arrested following a police investigation, was allegedly among the miscreants who rioted in Darkulaib on June 19 this year.
They reportedly pelted stones and petrol bombs at police officers, injuring one of them.
He was tried by the High Criminal Court, which also sentenced 11 other rioters to five years each in prison.
They are charged with blocking Budaiya Highway and burning tyres.
They allegedly caused damages to a civilian’s car after pelting it with stones.
