Filipinos attend ‘Defiance’ book launch, art exhibition

Around 30 participants from various Filipino organisations attended a book launch and art exhibition held recently at Capricorn Tower in Juffair.
The book entitled “Defiance”, which was authored by Mary Jean Dureza and Cyril Estares, shows how to reach goals and dreams despite challenges. Young artists Claire Ysabelle Estares, Eliana May Bree Evangelista and James Dureza took part in the exhibition.
A women’s organisation, Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN), was tapped by the authors as beneficiary for their charity work. PIN president Dinah Sta. Ana was also present during the affair. The event was graced by Philippine Teachers Association Bahrain (PTAB) president Dr Arthur Basbas along with Dr Jun Abitayo from the University of Bahrain and Dr Rodalyn Asenas, Director of the University of Technology, Bahrain.
