BIGS focuses on “Water: Regenerating Life”

The upcoming 2022 Bahrain International Garden Show has the theme “Water: Regenerating Life” and focuses on water and ways to preserve it to ensure its sustainability.
The show has the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Consultative Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development.
“BIGS will once again shed light on technologies that contribute to the development and sustainability of the agricultural sector in the Kingdom,” said the Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa.
Agricultural products, solutions “It will showcase agricultural products, solutions and innovations presented by major local and foreign companies participating in this important event,” she added.
The expo will promote safe use of treated water, correct water conservation methods in homes, agriculture and industry and encourage investment in water services for economic benefits.
BIGS will have presentations on water consumption management, the water-environment relationship, food and energy, water and climate change, water quality and drainage, and water sustainability.
Bahrain had postponed the 2021 show amid battle against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
NIAD, at that time, said that they had directed all efforts towards hosting the expo in March 2022.
Local and foreign exhibitors Shaikha Maram said she expects participation from local and foreign exhibitors in the upcoming edition.
“Participating companies will present their designs, products, technologies and innovations to market various products such as flowers, seedlings, agricultural tools, pots, garden furniture, lighting equipment and all agricultural products and services,” she said.
The exhibition will also have official and educational institutions and civil society institutions raising awareness about agricultural and environmental topics and showcase their programmes and services.
Free entry for children Visitors tickets for a three-day pass to the venue is available for 0.500.
Entry is free for children up to age 12.
