His Majesty issues decree restructuring Foreign Affairs Ministry

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Decree 98/2021, amending Article (1) of Royal Decree 23/2021 on restructuring the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The decree stipulates that Paragraphs (First) and (Third) of Article (1) of Decree 23/2021 shall be replaced by the following texts: “Paragraph (First): First: Head of the Human Rights Sector.

Paragraph (Third): Third: The Director-General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA), with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, who will be responsible for: 1. Directorate of Training and Languages; 2. Directorate of Academic Affairs; 3. Directorate of Studies and Evaluation.

A new item (No. 7) shall be added to Paragraph (Fifth) and a new item (No. 6) shall be added to Paragraph (Sixth) of Article (1) of Decree 23/2021 on restructuring the Foreign Affairs Ministry, as follows: Paragraph (Fifth), item (7): 7. Head of the Organisations Sector; Paragraph (Sixth), Item (6): 6. Head of Legal Affairs Sector.

His Majesty issued Royal Decree 96/2021, appointing Ambassador Abdulla Faisal Jabr Al Dossari as the Head of the kingdom’s Diplomatic Mission to Belgium, with the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

HM the King also issued Royal Decree 97/2021, amending some provisions of Royal Decree 54/2019 on the establishment of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA).

Under the decree, the phrase (Director-General) shall replace the phrase (Executive Director) in Articles (3) and (4) of Royal Decree 54/2019 on the establishment of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA).
