Bapco chairman receives UoB president and delegation

Bapco Chairman and Chief Executive Dr Dawood Nassif received yesterday in his office the President of University of Bahrain (UoB), Professor Riyad Hamzah, and his accompanying delegation.

The delegation included Dr Fuad Al Anwari, Dean of College of Engineering. The visit was held as part of Bapco’s continued partnership.

It was also in line with the ongoing mutual cooperation ties between Bapco and UoB in various educational fields and scientific research efforts aimed at contributing to the progress of the sustainable growth of Bahrain in conformity with the Leadership’s wise directives and guidance.

At the outset, Dr Nassif welcomed the visiting delegation, hailing the UoB’s key role in contributing to the economic growth and development of Bahrain, supported by leading-edge teaching, technology and research with regional impact. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and means of boosting joint cooperation in the future. Dr Nassif emphasised Bapco’s ongoing commitment to fostering scientific research initiatives in serving the community welfare in Bahrain.

The UoB President hailed Bapco’s efforts and endeavours in bolstering the economic drives in the Kingdom and lauded its ongoing commitment in applying top class, state of the art technologies for upgrading and developing the oil industry, wishing Bapco further progress and prosperity.

Dr Nassif thanked the UoB delegation for the visit, expressing hopes for further joint cooperation and collaboration between the two sides in various domains.
