Follow Covid precautionary measures: Bahrain Government Hospitals chief executive

Government Hospitals Chief Executive Dr Ahmed Al Ansari has called on citizens and residents to continue adhering to the precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

He pointed out that laxity in applying the instructions and guidelines issued by the National Medical Taskforce to Combat Coronavirus and the concerned authorities, as well as the failure to adhere to the precautionary health measures will result in a further spike in the number COVID-19 cases.

He asserted that the remarkable increase in the number of active cases requires more vigilance to avoid the spread of infections among members of society.

This can be done through a continuous commitment to the health guidelines and precautionary measures, including the avoidance of gatherings, social distancing, washing hands, sanitisation, wearing face masks and going out only when necessary, in addition to taking the vaccine, he said.

He affirmed that collective commitment to the precautionary measures will contribute to reducing the number of active cases, and protecting public health and safety.
