Well-known Bahraini journalist Sana Saqr dies

Bahraini journalist Sana Youssef Saqr died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. She was 47. The Bahraini Journalists Association mourned the mother of four, who was receiving treatment at King Hamad University Hospital when she passed away. Sana was one of the most distinguished Bahraini media figures.
She first joined the Ministry of Information Affairs in January 1998 and worked for Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and Radio Bahrain, where she showed high commitment and a great passion for her media work.
She graduated with a master’s degree in media and public relations from Al-Ahlia University after conducting a thesis title “Role of the local media in supporting citizenship under HM the King’s reform project.”
The ministry extended deepest condolences to the deceased’s family and media community, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest her soul in vast paradise and give her family solace and fortitude.
