Meat subsidy payments on Thursday
A total of 169,130 Bahraini families will receive meat subsidy compensation in their accounts this Thursday.
Labour ministry said it has completed all necessary measures for its disbursement. The payment, the ministry said, is in advance for the months of October, November and December.
The decision forms part of an initiative to unify the disbursement of government support programmes as directed by the Cabinet. The Cabinet resolution stipulates that the subsidies will be disbursed in one payment, on the 15th of every month, starting from 15 February 2020, and monitored by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
A total of 169,130 people are currently benefiting from the meat subsidy compensation, for which the government is spending 7, 138, 634 Bahraini dinars.
The disbursement was unified following a May 2015 Parliament decision.
