COVID-19 takes life of female citizen

The coronavirus (COVID-19) took the life of a 57-year-old Bahraini woman, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday. Her passing brought the total number of virus-related fatalities in the Kingdom to 109. The Health Ministry expressed its condolences to the victim’s family. Meanwhile, the Ministry announced early this morning that out of 9,203 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 535 new cases were detected.

These included 297 expatriate workers and 238 contacts of active cases. There were also 674 additional recoveries from the virus yesterday, bringing the Kingdom’s total number of discharged individuals to 29,099. The total number of current active cases went to 4,268, with 50 in critical condition and 72 cases receiving treatment. The remaining 4,218 cases are stable. The total tests conducted increased to 675,451.
