444 new cases, 288 recoveries, one death

The Ministry of Health announced 444 new active cases of the coronavirus yesterday, including 291 expatriate workers, 144 contacts of active cases, and nine travel-related. The Health Ministry reported 288 additional recoveries from the virus, increasing the total number of recoveries to 12,191. As of yesterday, 410,842 tests have been conducted in the country.
The detection of the new cases has brought the total number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom to 5,485. Of these, 121 are receiving treatment. Among them, 12 are in critical conditions and 5,473 cases are currently stable. Meanwhile, the ministry also announced the death of a 64-year-old male expatriate yesterday.
The victim was a registered active case of coronavirus (COVID-19) suffering from underlying and chronic health problems. The patient, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24hour treatment from a specialised medical team, the Health Ministry said.
The Ministry expressed its heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families at this difficult time. One more death from coronavirus has also been confirmed, taking the country’s death toll to 288. With 14,941 currently active cases, a total of 26,761 patients have recovered so far.
Saudi Arabia has crossed the 120,000-mark in coronavirus cases after witnessing a spike in recent weeks. With 3,366 new cases of coronavirus in a day, Saudi recorded a total of 123,308 infections. The total number of recoveries in the kingdom is at 82,548 and 39,828 currently active cases.
The Ministry announced 39 more deaths, raising the total number of virus-related fatalities to 932 in the Kingdom. Kuwait reported 514 new cases, recording an increase in the country’s infection tally to 35,466. Four more deaths were reported yesterday, raising the total deaths to 289. Kuwait has recorded 25,882 recoveries so far.
Qatar reported 1,828 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of cases to 78,416. The total number of recovered cases so far in Qatar has risen to 55,252. No new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, keeping the country’s death toll at 70. With an increase of 1,006 cases in a day, Oman has recorded 22,077cases of COVID-19 so far.
The ministry announced three more death from COVID-19, raising the total death tally to 99. The country’s overall recoveries have reached 7,530, as of yesterday. Meanwhile, 14,448 currently active cases have been recorded.
