SMC launches medicine home delivery service

As part of the precautionary measures implemented by the kingdom to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) has launched the home delivery service of prescribed medicines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of the patients.

SMC management indicated that those wishing to benefit from the e-service shall provide the patients’ required information through the link on the Health Ministry’s website, and they will receive their medicines within 48 hours after the receipt of the demand.

The pharmacy staff at the Salmaniya Medical Complex will, upon receipt of the request electronically, prepare the medicines, based on the approved medical prescription available in the patient's electronic file in the I-Seha system, and deliver them to the patient’s address on the date specified by them.

SMC management called on patients to take advantage of the e-service, which will be activated starting from Sunday, April 5, through using the following link, www.moh.gov.bh/eServices/pharmacy so that they can book their medicine home delivery date online.

This service will not include controlled medications and medicines dispensed from health centres, SMC said, noting that the e-service will cover the remaining public health facilities soon.
