Civil, commercial cases under BD1,000 to be handled electronically

Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa issued, based on the approval of the Supreme Judicial Council, edict 35/2020, approving the implementation of the complete electronic system on all civil and commercial cases in which the value of the claims do not exceed BD1,000.
Accordingly, such cases will be handled electronically throughout the whole process, which will reduce court procedures and ensure the fast-tracking of rulings.
