RCSI Bahrain goes green
RCSI Bahrain recently launched Green Week, a series of initiatives aimed at encouraging a greener and more environmentally friendly campus, all part of a wider and long-term campus sustainability project.
The week-long event kicked off with the launch of new waste collection areas all around the campus and followed with a Top Bins football challenge as well as a Beach Clean, organised by the University’s Community Engagement department.
Staff and students were also encouraged to wear green in support of the event and to bring their own coffee mugs and water bottles for a chance to win a free cup of coffee.
Local cleaning and waste disposal service provider, Gulf City Cleaning, was also available on campus providing information and tips on how to improve recycling habits at work and at home.
