Elephantiasis makes youth’s life miserable

Elephantiasis is making life miserable for Mustafa Faisal Mohamed from Bani Jmara. Elephantiasis is a symptom of a variety of diseases, where parts of a person’s body swell to massive proportions.
Though he had undergone a reduction surgery, it was of no benefit, the report by SMC Department of Surgery Chief Resident- Vascular Surgery, Dr. Jayesh Sheth stated.
Mustafa has primary lymphedema of his right lower limb, which is disabling him. Swelling of his leg has made the conditions even worse. MP Jalal Kadhem requested the health authorities to provide the best possible treatment to the young man.
The young man is unable to move properly and is in severe pain. He needs to be sent abroad for better treatment. MP said, “The Ministry of Health should take appropriate measures to treat the young man.”
