Mr. Slice gets a slice of Bahrainis’ compassion

A Canadian man, who runs a pizza shop in Adliya, has thanked the public for the overwhelming support that helped him re-launch his business.
“Bahraini generosity and hospitality is unlike anything else,” said Errin Stone, the owner of Pizza Empress. Stone, nicknamed ‘Mr. Slice’, is a well-known figure in Adliya, and is noted for his charitable activities and genial mien.
When his business hit a snag recently, well-wishers from all over Bahrain chipped in with financial and moral support, helping him re-launch his business after a brief hiatus. Social media users had posted messages of support to Mr. Slice and asked others to support.
Stone’s business was temporarily closed down last Wednesday due to financial issues. He said that the restaurant had resumed to function, thanks to the support of the community. “I am not seeking any help, instead I want to wholeheartedly thank everyone for every bit of support they have extended towards me,” he explained, adding, “My experience here in Bahrain has been wonderful, and this is a spiritual and loving place.”
“I am constantly surprised at the people, who approach me and offer help. Even people, who had interacted with me only a few times, still want to offer help. I have never experienced this in Canada or anywhere else. The generosity in Bahrain is just amazing,” added an elated Stone.
