PM affirms support to new BCCI board

ManamaHis Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday affirmed  Government’s full confidence in the newly-elected Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) board, terming it as a “partner in achieving development goals”. 

“We expect BCCI to support the government in achieving development goals, and spurring growth, as well as in developing the Kingdom’s economic ties with all friendly and brotherly countries in a way that supports the economic status of the Kingdom,” HRH Premier said.

HRH the Premier stressed that the doors of government are “wide-open to the private sector to remove any obstacles that may impede their contribution to development march.”

The Prime Minister further asserted that strengthening the partnership between the government and the private sector is an essential pre-requisite for increasing growth rate in all sectors.

The Prime Minister was receiving Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad, the outgoing BCCI Chairman, and Sameer Abdulla Nass, the winner of most votes during the recent BCCI elections. 

“The Kingdom’s economic growth and development are the results of the efforts of generations of traders, businessmen and investors,” the Premier stressed while pledging government’s support to the organisation in its way forward and urging unity, which, he said will give them “influence and strength”.
