Hashim defeats Abdulrazzaq in BTA Junior tennis final
Manama : Hashim defeated Abdulrazzaq 7-1, 7-2 in the final match of the 8-and-under and 10-and-under categories of the BTA Junior Tennis Tournament, organised by Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA), took place at the Dilmun Club, Saar.
Players initially took part in a round-robin competition, after which the top two players in each group progressed to the final rounds.
In the 8-and-under semi-finals, Abdulrazzaq Al-Henabi defeated Abdulrahman Al Dosseri 10-4 while Hashim Al Toobli defeated Rion Jay 10-9.
In the play-off for third and fourth place, Abdulrahman overcame Rion 10-7.
In the 10-and-under category, four players earned themselves a place in the following day’s semi-finalists by topping their respective groups. Ahmed Riyaan, Vyom Gupta, Joseph Bromyard and Hashim Al Toobli will all return to play for the trophies.
