Egypt plays a key role in fighting terrorism: King
Manama : Egypt plays a pivotal role in fighting terrorism and warding off interference in the internal affairs of the Arab states, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
In a verbal message conveyed to the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, HM the King took pride in the rapid progress of bilateral ties at multiple levels and appreciated the vital role being played by Egypt to consolidate peace and security in the region.
The message conveyed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, to El Sisi also touched on regional challenges and how to surmount them.
President El Sisi appreciated Bahrain’s supportive stances towards Egypt in all circumstances.
During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid commended the positive results of the recent visit of the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to Egypt aimed at confronting the challenges facing the region and reinforcing security and peace across the world.
