Sponge Cola to perform in Bahrain

Manama : Sponge Cola will perform in  the Kingdom on November 18.  The concert for a cause titled ‘Rockrakan Todomax Party 2017 ‘will take place in the Crowne Plaza conference centre. The event is organised by Blue Panther Team of Delmon for Artistic Production. The launch of the ticket for the musical concert took place yesterday at Crystal Palace Hotel, Juffair.

Sponge Cola has been consistent in powering, romancing, and inspiring the entire nation with their collection of original and certified hit songs culled from their impressive catalogue of award-winning and critically acclaimed full-length albums. Sponge Cola is composed of Yael Yuzon on lead vocals and guitar, Armo Armovit on guitar, Gosh Dilay on bass, and Ted “TMAC” Cruz on drums. All four are alumni of the Ateneo de Manila University, where they first got together during their days in high school. After putting some random words together, Sponge Cola was born.

In 2009, Sponge Cola made history as the first Filipino band to launch a portable music player of their own. The band’s full discography at the time was compiled and collected in MP3 and MP4 formats, and rereleased in a handy player.

The band also did concerts in Abu Dhabi and Memphis, where they represented the country in the 2012 installment of the annual Beale Street Music Festival, sharing the stage with Al Green and Lupe Fiasco, among other foreign acts.
