Futsal: preparations in full swing

Manama : Preparations for the final ceremony of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls are continued by the organising committees of the league.  

The league will be concluded on Sunday at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities.

Director of the league, Ali Al-Arabi said this year’s edition is special as it included 59 teams representing youth centres, unregistered clubs, disabled centres and societies and girls’ teams for the first time.

He said the organising committee held several meetings during the previous few weeks to finalise the preparations for the final day ceremony, including intensifying the advertisements for the final matches of the tournaments of the league and the prizes awaiting the audience.

It was also announced that individual prizes in the league include best player, best goalkeeper, top scorer, perfect team, best administrator, best coach and perfect player of the youth centres and unregistered, people with disabilities and girls tournaments.

Meanwhile, the Muharraq and Sanad Youth Centre teams are preparing for the final on Sunday and their debut appearance in the final. 

Bahrain National Futsal Team players Raed Baba and Jassim Al Jibn will play against each other, as Baba represents Sanad and Al Jibn plays for Muharraq.
