Minister visits Duraz, Bani Jamra
Manama : Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Hisham Al-Jowder, yesterday paid inspection visits to the villages of Duraz and Bani Jamra.
The visit follows the directives of His Royal Highness, Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to follow up the needs of the people in the various governorates of the Kingdom.
In Duraz, Al Jowder, accompanied by MP Jalal Kadhem, visited the headquarters of the Ettifaq Sports Club, where he was welcomed by the club’s board members and a number of the village representatives.
The minister reviewed the club’s plans and programmes. The Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry recently opened a multi-purpose, two-storey sports hall at the Al-Ettifaq Club at a cost of
BD788,000.
Al-Jowdar listened to the suggestions of the club’s board chairman and members on ways to increase the club’s revenues.
The minister also visited Bani Jamra and met the Bani Jamra Club Chairman and the local villagers.
Stressing the importance of the visits in identifying the needs of the citizens, the minister said that the field visits would reflect positively on the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom.
