Unified stance needed to stem flow of terror funding: HRH Premier

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday stressed the need for a unified effort to disrupt the flow of funds to terror groups to ensure the security and stability of the region. 

“Terrorism is an enemy to the development and people and its danger constitutes a major concern to governments,” asserted HRH the Premier as he received the outgoing US Ambassador to Bahrain, William Roebuck, at the Gudaibiya Palace. 

Highlighting Bahrain’s desire to bolster cooperation with the US across all sectors, HRH Premier further affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness on enhancing its relations with the US and broadening fields of joint cooperation with it.

The Prime Minister also underlined Bahrain’s constant keenness on bolstering cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries from all over the world based on mutual understanding, coordination and respect. 

Prince Khalifa reviewed with the US envoy the latest regional and international developments and lauded the role played by the USA in supporting all efforts aimed at achieving global stability and peace. 

Ambassador Roebuck expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his interest in developing Bahraini-US relations in various fields.

He lauded the Government of Bahrain’s cooperation with him throughout his tenure in order to consolidate bilateral relations.
