Philippine embassy holds Ambassador’s Cup
Manama : The Philippine Embassy in Manama organised the Ambassador’s Cup III Inter-Filcom Bowling Tournament at the Funland Bowling Centre.
Thirty six teams from various Filipino organisations in the kingdom including seven teams from Embassy, POLO-OWWA, and Pag-Ibig personnel joined the tournament.
The Filipino Club Ten Pin Bowlers (FCTB) emerged as team championship.
Other winners included Dodong Pulido of Filipino Club Tenpin Bowlers as the Singles High Game Champion for men, and Maria Gonzales of Filipino Club Pinoy Badminton Group as the Singles High Game Champion for Women.
The tournament was organised to foster unity and camaraderie among FilCom organisations in Bahrain. It is likewise part of the embassy’s continuing efforts to further strengthen its relations with the Filipino community in Bahrain.
The event’s major sponsors are the Social Security System and Pag-Ibig. Other sponsors include Star Entertainment, Philippine National Bank, Jollibee, Batelco, Houras Consultancy.
