Rampersad, Groot win
Manama : Serwin Rampersad and Rick Groot defeated Joan Sala and Stewart Biggy in straight set 6-1, 6-4 in the men’s doubles quarters on the 11th Day of The Indian Club Y.K.Almoayyed Open Tennis Ramadan Tournament at its premises in Gudaibiya.
In another quarter final, the all-Bahraini clash saw Karim Abdul Redha and Rashid Obaidly get the better of Abdul Rahman Janahi and Ali Al Asfoor 6-4, 6-2.
In a veterans singles semi-final, Cassius Pereira eased past Lester Ferrao 6-2, 6-4.
The finals are set to take place this Thursday and Friday.
