Alba’s SHE manager wins RoSPA award

Manama : Alba Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Senior Manager, Moh’d Khalil has been honoured with The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) 2017 Guardian Angel Award for his exceptional commitment and contribution towards the safety and health of Alba employees, the Bahrain-based Aluminium smelter said in a statement. 

The RoSPA Guardian Angel Award recognises individuals who have made a significant difference in the safety and accident prevention through their enthusiasm and diligence.

Mohd. Khalil joined Alba in 1997 as a Security Officer. His innovative ideas and commitment to safety led to his promotion as the Fire Engineer followed by Fire Chief in 2013. He was made Manager - SHE, Fire and Security Department in 2016 and in the same year, was promoted to Senior Manager.

Commenting on this occasion, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray said: “Moh’d deserves RoSPA Guardian Angel Award for his tireless efforts towards setting high standards in safety.”

Moh’d will be presented with his RoSPA Guardian Angel Award at a ceremony at ExCeL London on June 20, 2017.
