Gold worth BD 10,000 robbed
Manama : In yet another gold theft that shook the city, Rajnikanth Kichadia, 59, owner of the World Jeweller, was robbed yesterday of gold ornaments worth BD 10,000 right outside his shop, opposite Jawad House in Manama at 11:40 am, reports said yesterday.
A group of four unidentified persons reportedly hit him on the head and ran away with the jewellery.
Kichadia was waiting at the door with the jewellery before going back to his son’s workshop when the thugs struck him and took away the gold.
According to a source, the incident is the fifth within an year’s time, and the authorities have not solved a single case. All the victims were aged more than 50, the source said.
Kichadia is reportedly injured in head. He is also suffering from shock but recouping fast, the reports said.
