Al Kindi Hospital gets JCI accreditation
Manama : Al Kindi Specialist Hospital announced receiving the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, which is considered as the Gold Seal of Approval in quality and patient safety.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr Ebtisam Al Dallal, CEO and Consultant Periodontist of the hospital said, “It took one year and three months of hard work to achieve this prestige.”
The award follows a single round of detailed evaluations from 19th to 23rd of February by a team of four experts of the commission from Illinois. The review focused on overall management along with the ethical and medical healthcare system of Al Kindi. The Joint Commission is the oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare internationally.
Explaining the responsibility the accreditation brings, Dr Al Dallal said, “Such accreditations can shift the orientation of medical institutions and hospitals from profit.”
