Big victory for Regency A

Manama : Intercontinental Regency A recorded the biggest victory after a 52-run victory over Le-Meridian in the opening round of matches on Saturday of The Ritz Carlton Bahrain Sixth Inter Hotel Charity Cricket tournament 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton Staff Recreation area.Batting first, Intercontinental Regency notched up an impressive 66 in six overs with Yasir (21 off 8 deliveries, 3x6) top scoring and Adnan (two for three) being the best of the bowlers.

In reply, Le-Meridien were dismissed for just 14 with Irfan (6 off 7) the main scorer with Sikander (one for two) the best bowler.

A total of 24 teams are in the fray which begins with round-robin group matches on a daily basis followed by the knockout stage with the final set for 28 March.

This year’s official charity is the Child Wish Society with mony raised through team entries and the sale of food and beverages during the matches.

2) Rotana Downtown 72/2 in 6 (Jassim 22 of 13, 1x6, 3x4; Ousim 1-2) bt The K Hotel 39/5 in 6 (Shahid 7 off 6, 1x4; Nikai 1-9) by 33 runs. 

3) Moven Pick 50/2 (Raja 25 off 14, 3x6; Samit 2-13) bt Westin 49/5 in 6 (Vishal 17 off 12, 1x6, 2x4; Vishal 1-11) by 4 wickets.
