Princess Sabeeka hailed for efforts to empower women

Manama : MP Jalal Kadhim has hailed the efforts being made by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in promoting Bahraini women across all fields and sectors. 

He also praised HRH Sabeeka for embracing the empowerment of the Bahraini women project via putting together the right conditions, legislations and regulations that ensure maximum benefit to Bahraini women’s efforts.

Moreover, MP Kadhim congratulated HRH Sabeeka and all Bahraini women on the occasion of International Women’s Day, affirming that this day is an opportunity to recall the major achievements established for the Bahraini women thanks to the Royal vision and as part of the Reform Programme which calls for equal opportunities for all. 

 “The Reform Programme has laid down the foundation for sustainable development and promoting equal opportunities for both; men and women, and this has allowed the Bahraini women to occupy high-ranking and leading positions, making them important contributors to the development process in Bahrain,” MP Kadhim said in a statement. 

MP Kadhim further asserted that the Bahraini women proved their presence across all fields at local and international levels. 

“Latest statistics show that 33,000 Bahraini women are serving in the private sector, most of whom are university graduates,” he said.

Kadhim underlined that from his position in the Council of Representatives he would continue working towards developing legislations linked to the Bahraini women.
