Major General Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Director-General of the General Directorate of Traffic, affirmed that student safety remains a top priority for the traffic authorities. He emphasized the importance of parents cooperating with traffic police to ensure a safe environment for students, especially when traveling to and from schools.

He urged parents to adhere to traffic laws and take special care around school zones and educational areas to protect their children.

With the new school year approaching, the Directorate has put in place necessary traffic measures to safeguard students and ease congestion during peak hours. This includes coordination with relevant authorities and offering educational programs on enhancing road safety near schools.
